Inspired by Sue Bryce

Monday, April 8th, 2013

I have been so inspired by Sue Bryce lately that I simply couldn’t wait until my next shoot to carry on experimenting with beautiful portraits.

This morning I decided to ask my daughter to sit for a few photos and she happily obliged.

I am such a proud mom!! :)

Innovate Boudoir Workshop Feb 2013

Sunday, February 24th, 2013

So after ending last year with a workshop in Cape Town I didn’t think I’d be seeing them again that soon. And there I was, back in the beautiful Cape Town to host yet another boudoir workshop.

A super SUPER bunch of people filled the conference room at the very classy and gorgeous Banksia Boutique Hotel in Rosebank on the morning of 23rd February. :) Peta, Trudy, Claire, Terry, Gert and Neal, thank you all for making this yet another fun and relaxed workshop to host. Everyone has been super quiet afterwards but I just know you have all taken amazing images. Looking forward to seeing them!

From Left to Right: Terry-Anne, Neal, Claire, Gert, Trudy, model Mark, Peta, model Leatitia, me and model Amorie. :)

Thank you to our hosts Shelley, Meryl and Karyn. What a stunning venue! Lunch was beyond yummy. And after Shelley agreed to us moving a bed into the indoor pool area the setting was so close to perfect! Really made for amazingly beautiful images. Let’s not forget the presence of Carl the loveable cat that came to visit us a few times :)

To my Innovate Angels Amorie and Leatitia! You girls are such a pleasure to work with. You are both so gorgeous yet so friendly and down to earth! I used to stress about what the outcome would be when I first started hosting workshops. But you give me such a peace of mind. Btw this was the 5th workshop Amorie has done with me, really cool hey! Also thank you to Mark, Leatitia’s SO who agreed to help out with the couple boudoir I ended up shooting afterwards. All three of us were pretty clueless when we started with it, but daaaang, these two did an amazing job after the first 5 minutes. Look out for more of their photos coming soon!!! (I am so in love with their photos right now hey!! hehe…)

To have a fantastic makeup artist (and friend!) who always assists has been such a blessing to me. Not only for the workshops but also with my clients :) Her work is always of such a high standard and I am lucky to have her on board. Saje really enjoys what she does and she always does it so well! Here’s her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WeddingsBoudoir

Lastly to John who came along and helped out. Thanks babe, I really do appreciate you doing this for me. And its so nice to have you there with me when I do this. Also looking forward to seeing the video footage you captured of the day! x

… some more pics to come :D
